Terms and Conditions

Pricing

Catalogue prices are based on what the manufacturers charge us and are therefore subject to change. See our online store for current pricing and specials. Orders will be billed at prices prevailing at date of order. Prices and specifications advertised on our web site are subject to error. If errors should appear, we apologize for any inconvenience and reserve the right to correct them. City Paper Basics always adheres to the “best buy” logic. Should a product appear on promotion, our computer system automatically reverts to the lowest price.

Billing

Once your business's credit has been approved, payment terms are NET 30 days from the date of the invoice. Interest is charged at a rate of 26.4% per annum (2.0% per month) on overdue balances. Methods of payment include: Cash, Cheque, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Debit Card (pick-up only). Merchandise will remain the property of City Paper Basics until paid in full. Please list your customer and invoice numbers with every remittance.

Backorders

In the event that we are unable to fill your entire order, you will be billed only for the items that are shipped. Your Invoice will indicate those items that are on Back Order. These items will be shipped as they become available. If at any time you want to cancel a Back Order, please contact one of our Customer Service reps. • We maintain a fill rate greater than 95% for regularly stocked items. • We’ll call you if there’s a back order. • We’ll substitute, with your permission, a similar item of equal or greater value for the same price. • We’ll obtain a back ordered item and have it sent out within days.

Special Orders

If you don't see it in our catalogue, give us a call. If it is distributed in Canada, City Paper will attempt to find it for you. Special Order items are non-returnable, unless damaged or defective.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call our order desk and we’ll make every effort to resolve the issue.

We are happy to make exchanges or refunds on any catalogue item. Please return your merchandise in its original packaging, with a copy of the sales invoice, within 30* days of purchase. Please let us know your reason for returning the product.

** Special Order items are non-returnable, unless damaged or defective.


Imaging Supplies (Toners, Cartridges, Ribbons)
Product in original and unopened packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery for full credit. Defective products will be exchanged in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.


Computer Electronics (Printers, Keyboards, Monitors, Cameras, LCD Projectors)
Product in original and unopened packaging can be returned within 10 business days from date of delivery for full credit. Defective products may be returned for replacement or credit within 10 business days of delivery and must include UPC label and all original packaging (missing UPC label and/or accessories will result in the refusal of your return). Defective product beyond the initial 10 business day period will be repaired or exchanged in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.


Business Machines (Fax Machines, Shredders, Labelers, Calculators, Dictation equipment, Telephones and Headsets)
Product in original and unopened packaging can be returned within 10 business days from date of delivery for full credit. Defective products may be returned for replacement or credit within 10 business days of delivery and must include UPC label and all original packaging (missing UPC label and/or accessories will result in the refusal of your return). Defective product beyond the initial 10 business day period will be repaired or exchanged in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.


Software and Guides
Product sealed in original packaging can be returned within 15 business days of delivery. Due to copyright law, we will exchange software only when the media is defective.


Installation and repair services:
Installation and configuration fees cannot be refunded. All equipment repairs, parts and labour, are warranted for a period of 30 days from date of service call.


Damaged Goods

If a freight or courier company delivers a damaged item, a claim is to be made by the customer with the delivery company at the time of delivery. In the case of a damaged shipment, make note of the damage on the bill of lading. Keep the parcel's packaging for inspection where there is concealed damage. Contact our Customer Service Department to arrange for return of the damaged item(s).

City Paper Basics respects your personal privacy. We appreciate your concern about your personal information, and believe ensuring the security of your personal information is an important part of our job. We strive to protect any personal information you give to City Paper Basics (address, name, email address, etc.). If we ask you to provide us with any personal information, we will tell you the purposes for which we intend to use that information. We will not collect, use, or disclose your personal information without your consent. We collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us. We do not use techniques that collect personal information about you without your knowledge. Your personal information is not lent or sold to anyone for any purpose.
